At the Lake View Garden Bar, you’ll be responsible for creating beverages of the highest quality, taking orders through the till system and you will also need to be flexible and prepared to work in other roles such as on the floor & hosting if required. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

  • Understand the venue’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Creating the drinks orders you 

  • Understand and interact with our reservation system

  • Understand and interact with our till system

  • Understand the food and drink menu content, menu changes made, and be aware of any promotional activities running.

  • Keep your bar area clean, tidy, and well-prepared and follow our operational opening and closing checklists.

  • Efficiently manage the proper settlement of all customer accounts.

  • Answer guest queries in a polite and helpful manner.

  • Taking cash or card/phone payments from customers.

  • Communicate with the kitchen and the guests to ensure a smooth experience.

  • Answers questions about bookings, other brands, menu items, ingredients, allergens and pricing.

For this role we are looking for people who are.

  • Previous experience within hospitality (preferred but not essential)

  • Experience working behind a bar, using till systems and making cocktails. (preferred but not essential)

  • Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills

  • Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service

  • Comfortable talking with customers, recommending upsells and working in a busy environment.


Ideally you will have:

  • A passionate interest in the food and beverage world, keeping up to date with industry trends 

  • A drive to upsell.

  • An ability to work for long hours standing.

  • The availability to work weekends & nights

  • Competent level of English spoken and written
